I paint intuitively, beginning with color rather than a predetermined image.

I choose colors that interest me and respond to the painting as it develops. Color, movement, texture, and form guide my choices. I allow room for the unexpected, knowing I can influence the direction without completely controlling the outcome.

The discovery is part of the painting. I don't want to know every answer before I begin.
